Wow, talk about dusting the competition. Unwise move on Apple's part. Sure to make more enemies than friends. Hope they're ready for bankruptcy cause the Mac has NOTHING on the PC anymore after Windows XP. All they are now is more expensive. Let them do it. Then we'll be rid of all the Mac supremicists.

Ummm geez you wouldn't happen to be an unbiased source now would you? The benefits of owning Emagic far outweigh roughly 30% of PC users running logic. It just so happens that the small group was responsible for a majority of the Tech Support calls and the PC version of Logic is widely bootlegged. Can you blame Emagic? They don't like being robbed no more than you do. Aim as much vitriol at Apple as you like it won't stop me from cranking out music in Logic.

Thought about switching over. Then I realized how bad Apple is screwing me over. Then thought if they do this now, they will probally screw me over down the line when I am stuck in their proprietarey machine. Being a computer tech for a number of years I will say Mac had the nitch in the Audio/Graphic arena but that is or is about over. You can do anything you want on a PC for a quarter of the price. By the way I have a lady I support with a Mac that is all locked up, anybody know how to fix it? :-)

Studio912 ...Switch over Man! Not only will you get a free Logic 5 for OSX but you'll get to keep your Logic on Windows!! Everything is proprietary to some extent...but with Macs they use ATA and standard Memory just like everyone else. They use PCI(UAD1 and Powercore supported) as well so you have nothing to fear and everything to gain! It always hurts to see a platform change but remember that Emagic may have been shopping themselves. Given the choice of a company going out of business or their product still being available albeit on another platform I believe most people would choose the latter.

I agree PC's have done will but OSX fuccin ROCKS. You're going to see some really cool stuff coming that will help your Music.

BTW..have that lady restart her Mac holding the shift key to skip extensions. If she can get to the Desktop then she has some conflict. I hope you jump aboard soon..there's nothing with running a cross platform studio. Don't assume that you need the fastest Mac money can buy. Apple won't screw you..if anything they'll open doors for you someday.

i love the way suddenly PC users are getting all right-on and moaning about big corporates. If you use any Microsoft product AT ALL you are effectively sucking off the biggest multinational corporate there is. I agree that what Emagic have done is a bit harsh but this is getting to be like a broken record. The world doesnt revolve around PC Logic users - especially as most of them use cracks anyway. If you want to switch to Mac, go ahead, you won't regret it. If you don't then stick to using what you want but stop ****in dissing apple and mac users because not only is it very dull but its also hypocritical.
