Pro Audio Suppliers....

Just looking for what people use to order their equipment. I have always used PSSL.com but they are having issues with items from Sennheiser (wireless mic systems).
I'd prefer to stick with a well known company (online) and if anybody is around the Madison Wisconsin area, something I can actually go and see.

I have a project time line issue and if PSSL.com can't get any Shure or Sennheiser stuff, it will be a a mad dash to get this done by the 10th of July.

Um, this forum is hosted by Sweetwater, so that would be my first suggestion. Hopefully they won't get upset if I also mention Full Compass, B&H, Broadcast Supply Warehouse, Musician's Friend and Guitar Center. That's just off the top of my head. There's a Guitar Center store in your town and a Music Go Round over near Milwaukee if you're up for a drive. Music Go Round has used gear and online listings. But definitely check out Sweetwater.

If you know what you want no question and price is #1, northernsound.net

If service before and after the sale is #1 (along with a good price), Sweetwater.

It's funny because when I first posted here, I didn't realize Sweetwater aalso sold equipment.
I ended up using Sweetwater as my 2nd supplier as that my usual could'nt get the Sennheiser stuff. Patrick in sales was great to work with even if I was a little demanding...haha. But he still stuck in a freebie Sweeetwater t-shirt.
I also found out we have a Full Compass less than 45 minutes from me. They saved the day with getting me some rack mounts for a outdated amp.
I haven't checked out Northern yet but I'll check it out. Thank you all again. My crash course in PA is going well. Now to learn about PA speakers (70volt, etc....)

Sweetwater is pretty hard to beat for service and salespeople with great knowledge.

I also use Music123, Musicians Buy, American Musical Supply, Front End, Mercenary, B & H, and zzounds.

I love Sweetwater. When I was finally approved for new gear at my church gig, this is who we went through, and they had the stuff to me within the week! And they threw in a handful of candy along with all my gear. Awesome. When I was asked to look in to pricing for some other new gear the church wanted, (wireless mics, amps, etc.), Sweetwater was my first stop.

That being said, I know some people who swear by Full Compasss and B&H. These are guys that I know and trust, so if they like it then the quality is obviously good.

Depending on what your location is like, you can always go local too. When I needed a new rack for my console and gear, I went to one of the local music stores and they gave me a great deal on my Grundorf combo rack. That being said, if there isn't competition around, they may try to gouge you. The local company here charges $80 an hour for installation fees. It's ridiculous.
