Not sure I understand...
you say it's working fine but you can't hear anything? then it's not working fine, is it? do you have the latest drivers installed? check maudio.com for drivers. I have some problems with my audiophile usb. it seems very picky about when I turn it on. for example, if I turn it on too soon or too late, I get the Windows "found new hardware" message. I don't know about your other soundcard so I can't say. but why do you need two soundcards? you might try disabling the other one and just use audiophile. also try using asio or wdm with the audiophile. |

I have a Fostex VF160EX 16 track recorder, highly regarded maybe 5-7 years ago but technology has advanced I know. Anyway, I want to get a Logic Studio DAW on my Macbook, and use that for editing, mixing and mastering etc the files we record with the FOSTEX. The manual says you can upload up to 24 tracks using the ADAT (there is only one plug out) (that would be 16 + 8 virtual tracks). Eventually I would upgrade to a 8 or higher line firewire interface, but at that time probably would need more computing power as well to simultaneously track 8 or more tracks.....So, to minimize investment at this stage hoping to do it this way. The Fostex has 20bit A/D conversion, which is sufficient for my needs at this time, I feel. Anyway to get these files to my DAW by ADAT? Also has SP/DIF, but from what I read the ADAT is the more suitable standard to use.. HELP!!
