Easy Audio Cable Rack

Just get some peg board, paint it Black, frame the back with some firring strips, hang it up. Piece of cake.
Add a Sweetwater cable and win a Sure KSM32 mike.
C'mon 87, and DC I double - dare ya

Actually, I found a coat rack at some store for $5, it had pegs and I thought it would be cool for the tracking room for headphones and cables.

Duly noted, I did not configure a duct tape in my approach
I stand cohesevely corrected.
Howeve, Mr Dave, you failed to hang a Sweetwater Cable in your picture,
therefore, you are not in the game. You lose the KSM Thingie !

I may not have a SW cable in the pic, however, my SW rep can beat up your SW rep

you gotta make sure they are bent and sticking out at all angles and such.
if you so inclined, make sure you hammer some in from the back so the pointy enda are sticking out. oh, and make sure that none of the nails are on the saame plane or the same distance from each other.

I have used the peg board solution in the past with really great results, I wish i had a picture but we had like 300 lbs of (miles) cable all hanging from the board. it worked really well.

At my home studio, i do what DC does, by using old coat racks, they work really well!

When i went on my first live gig, being short of money, i needed gig bags so I raided our closet for old travel duffel bags, I found about 5 or 6 of them and they work really well for carrying cords, microphones, and repair kits.

I sorted my cords between power/speaker level cords, line level cords (instrument) and microphone cords.

I keep my consumer line level RCA cords in my repair kit.

I use zip lock bags to sort out RCA, BNC, XLR and speakon connectors. I keep a soldering iron, various tools like cable strippers, needle nose pliers, razor blades and a multi tool. Plus I always keep a DI box in the kit.

oh and don't forget to get yourself a hikers first-aid kit, (You can put the snake bite kit in the drawer unless you are doing deep field work).

razor blades must be for the band huh ?
I agree the nails gotta be bent, perhaps crack in the wall as a final decorative .
I think I should sponsor a fight between Sweetwater reps, we can do primary auditions by phone....

Put the nails all the way thru, don't bend 'em over, and use the "sharp" side out for those cables and thingies that are tough to hang-up on the rack, like drummers. Give 'em a toss, and there ya go...

They're all too nice on the phone. You'll have to come up with somethin' else...
