acoustic room testing

Hi folks

I'm getting ready to set up my room for acoustic treatments, the room is 10 x 12 with a window in one corner and wall to wall closet + entrance on the opposite wall. I know ill have to set it up with base traps in all the corners as well where the walls meet the ceiling. other than that i have no clue as to where to go from there. I don't know if ill need diffusers or not. I read just about every post and went to www.ethanwiner.com web site. But none seem to explain exactly on how to test it as well what tools or Mic's to use. I know the monitors will play a big part in it. I finally decided to go with the Yamaha HS80M. any experience you can share will be greatly appreciate.

thanks.

You will need a RTA, Real Time Analyzer, and reference mic.

Do a search on RTA or Real Time Analyzer and you'll get more info as to how to shoot your room.
