Best Computer to run Logic on?

Hello there everyone:
I was wondering if there was any consensus as to which model of Mac computers was most suitable to run Logic Pro. Obviously, fast is good; but is that completely true for Logic? Is going from 2.66 MHz to 2.93 MHz really worth the extra dough? Seems like a remarkably small bang for a grand, no? And, what about the 4 processor machines vs. the 8 processor ones? Is Logic capable of even making full use of the eight processors?

Thanks,
Mike McScrooge
