Has anyone tested this preamp? I'm currently stuck in finding a cheap preamp for my studio, cuz there's alot of unknown brands for me. I hope someone could point me in the right direction;)

I owned a PR8 (not the MK2), and was not impressed. There was a bit too much noise with these pre's. You could look at Behringer's ULTRAGAIN PRO-8 DIGITAL ADA8000 which would connect to your Echo Layla via ADAT. I'm by no means am a Behringer advocate, but it could be a better option.
