I have a machine w/ win2K. how would I go about playing back one track on one set of speakers whilst still alowing me to edit another sample simultaineously on another set of speakers.

You will need a card with multiclient drivers or even better a card with MULTISTREAMING drivers so you can use asio drivers in both apps at the same time.

An example of sucha card is the maya 44 mk II card by audiotrak.

or www.esi-pro.com the waveterminal series of cards.


very few cards have multistreaming drivers so if both your apps need ASIO support make sure you get a card which can do this.

Is there any way I can use 2 seperate cards to get the desired effect.

Why make life harder than it has to be ?

you may be able to but you will without a doubt have a problem from using 2 cards in the one system at the same time.

The maya 44 mk II is very cheap and will do what your wanting to do with ease.
