Looking for input on the best way to deal with recording MIDI and audio instruments to my PC using Sonar. Have a Delta 4in/4out card, Mackie 1402 mixer, and a Delta 4x4 USB MIDI interface. I record drums and keyboards via MIDI, and guitar/vox via audio. My question is how do I connect up (cable, etc) the equipment I have to make the best use of the technology (and do I really need the Mackie?) Right now I am sending vox and guitar into the Delta direct, and I have to play back the MIDI tracks onto audio tracks....getting problems monitoring tracks (can't hear whats being recorded too well using Delta 'Monitor Mixer'), feedback loops, and other annoyances. Any and all suggestions would be most graciously appreciated.
