Help with mix, please listen and comment :)

Hey guys, It's been a while since I came here when i was 15 starting out making / mixing music. I'm now 18 and producing music on a small scale here , so I'd like you to listen to this mix I've just finished and offer any comments, particularly in improving the sound of the vocals. I understand the singer is weak vocally, and would appreciate any help in combatting that. The nature of the track has allowed me to use a hard tuner, but any more help would be appreciated .

hmmmmm....

It is hard to critique the mix. because like you said the singer is pretty bad.

The autotune effect in second chorus strikes me as being a bit harsh.

I like when the syncopated high hats come in...they are a bit loud though. If the track is not done, I would try adding in some more high end at other parts of the track. Try doubling that sync track an octave up with a rhodes sound...or something like that.

"you got what i want...you got what i need/etc" is the better part of the song.

I like the phone section in the middle of the track...its a bit played out, but it did something good for me.

If you have the opportunity to re-produce this girls vocals, make her sing more sexually...

you gotta think about what this song is about when working with vocalist....

We usually dont go there on this forum.... but if the track is supposed to be sexual, make it sexy. I should get a chubby from listening to this track.... a la brintey/xtina.

Other than the criticisms, good job bo. keep it up.
