View Full Version : Afraid to admit you use Fruity ?

Wow I've seen so many requests here at various times for a Fruity specific portion in the forum...now one is here and people won't post..tsk tsk tsk. What's up with that are the 'audio software snobs' afraid to admit that they use the product.
Afraid that to admit to fellow country club members (Digidesign /Steinberg) their 'other' is Fruity or is it just they don't want anyone to know their secret?
Now that the price is warming up (raising) on Image-Line products maybe by the next version when we see a significant price jump they may 'come out' about Fruity.
Such a shame a product has to change it's name and raise it's price for people to say it's ok.
I can can see them now in a couple of years when Fruity is a few hundred dollars ..."yeah I've always had fruity as this or that...."
This will probably get no responses...we know it's ok.

you gotta admit, adding a mixer to the producer version was worth a price hike...and it's only $60 more if you already had the pro version. I'm just glad they did it.

This is a foolish thread. Why would people who had questions about FL not ask them because they were afraid to "admit (that they) use Fruity?"
I don't think that the lack of discussion going on in here, relative to the other forums, is indicative of a mass of Fruity users who are just "afraid that people will know that they use FL." Especially not in the anonymous world of the internet. Who cares? I use fruity. I also mix to analog tape.
Maybe the fruity forum just hasn't gotten rolling, yet. Maybe it is what it is.

I have a version of Fruity Loops Express that is OK but I can't figure out how to get real low bass sounds like an extended 808 kick.
If I upgrade to a better version will I get a lot more functionality? If so, what?

I believe that the lack of threads in this section has more to do with the ease of using FL rather than being afraid of admitting that we use it.

Fruity-loops is a very cool program. The more you use it the more complex it can be and the fact that they keep adding things and not quitting is great. Making things easier is what using a computer is all about, unless it’s limited which fruity loops isn’t much. I think the forum should be titled "I am proud 2 use fl", so people know there are fruity loop fan out there will post. The title scares off the proud fruity loop users because the title isn't targeted to them as well. The closet fruity loop users won’t come out to admit it in the spot light. In result this post has few users who submit any thing.
Change the post name and this post will have results

Fruity-Loops is dope! I use it and many people I know use it. Why wouldn’t you use something that makes it easy for you? I don’t know if it’s the best program out there but it’s easy to use and that’s why I use it. I might check out the other programs that do similar things but for now I want a quick easy way to get these results. I am more then satisfied with fruity loops. It is easy and has many features making it comparable with other programs. The fact that some features are not upfront but still there, might make a few things difficult but once you figure them out it gets a lot easier…… fast.

I can't say I am proud of using FLS, but I don't feel ashamed of it, also.
I just find it the best program which suits my needs, and I have tried almost all audio apps before.

U wonder that not so many people are posting here about FL? Maybe because Imageline has a great Forum where only registered users have access. I(and probably all other registered users) simply don't see the point to go to other forums!

 tidbit: do u know track 7 on JZ's Black album?
yeah Threat? Just Blaze made that beat through FL. He took a sample of r.kelly's "a womans threat" and just added drums in FL.
FL is great for sequencing patterns....this right here is proof.

Another tidbit from Jay-Z's Black Album:
Track 6 called "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" which has become a great hit these days, uses BeepMap for a sound FX that appears in the song.
BTW simple but very catchy beat.
And crispycutz, you can purchase the new Fruity Loops Studio Producer Edition v4.52 in audio stores like Musician's Friend or by their site in fruityloops.com. Belive me, it's a whole new Fruity, with lots of new power features and worth every penny.

I am proud to use FLSTUDIO 4.5.2 because I produce really good music with it, and guess what -- my FLSTUDIO 4.5.2 outfit has only cost me about $300.00, with one midi interface and some creativeness you can do so much.
FLSTUDIO has support for multiple VST instances, REWIRE, DXi and it has really cool sounds and exporting and importing is a breeze.
Therefore I admit using it, and then I admit using Cubase/ACID/Traktion/Reason etc., then I say oh I made that using...
CUBASE/FLSTUDIO/FM7/Battery --
They are all great and will get better everyday.

I use FL Studio 4.5.1 in conjunction with other a swag of other apps, as I believe this to be the most effective way to get my ideas laid out into music. If solely using Fruity is enough for you, more power to you, but it does piss me off when users of other programs write it off as being too simple... beyond the simple interface it is quite a powerful program. Take a look at the links I've just added to my sig- these tracks made with FL Studio serving as the hub while I also used Cubase SX, Reason, and Adobe Audition.

hmmm.... well i was always a loyal user of fl studio but obviously i've experimented with other programs. but the main reason, no pun intended, i kept to fl studio was it's easy as hell sequencing... many ppl say well i don't like the sequencer cos it makes me just do too many loop based songs and i want the song to progress so i use cubase or reason or protools, i usually just hit back and say u can use the sequencer in a linear based manner if u want and they shut the **** up.... i always new that one track on the jayz album was done in fl studio i am even more happy to find out it was done by just blaze who happens to be one of rap music's best producer chyea imma keep this thread alive

I used to use fruity loops to make only beats.
But with the new Producer edition It is my central production software Fruity loops is the Only all in one Music Production software that has the kind of ease and functionality that renderes having any other production software useless.
I use fruity loops to produce all my music Vocal included
