Reason icw Samplitude

Hello,

How can i use Reason 2.0 in combination with Samplitude 2496 in the most efficient way?

And, how can i use Rebirth in combination with Reason ?

Not being a Samplitude user, i'm not sure how to best answer your question with a huge amount of clarity, but what i can tell you is that after reading some promo material on it, it does not seem to boast the required "rewire host" facility needed to link it to Reason. All harddisk recording software (protools, cubase, live) have this built in, but Sampli doesn't seem to.

Therefore the best way might be to simply solo each channel in Reason and "export song as audio file" for each channel, then load these wavs/aiffs into Sampli.

As for using Reason 2 with Rebirth?? The Malstrom and Subtractor absolutely **** on the "303" style synths in Rebirth. Reason was origionally concieved during the Rebith process, but the Props decided to finish Rebirth and then work solely on Reason. Don't forget also about the Matrix step seqeuncer that can easily be wired to any of the consoles in Reason. And don't forget the 2.5 update that boast the Spider Audio channel splitter that may let us do step seq with chords.

Anyway, long story short, we all had fun with Rebirth, but Reason is the upgrade.

You can still get some life out of rebirth as the 303 style synths are still a unique sound and the drum machines are good at what they do. Reason has a direct connect module for rebirth. Look at the manual. As far as Rewire being in all software ,Pro tools is just incorporating it in a current upgrade. If its not in Samplitude then I'd look elsewhere if you're serious about Reason.
