Beginner using Performer

I borrowed a copy of Digital Performer 2.5, as I am studying different sequencer to undersatn which one suites best my needs (electronic music production on a Macintosh G4 350 mhz). I'm trying to figure out on how the software works out but I see it is pretty high end: this is great, as I feel I can do things in a professional way with it, but of course it is much difficult for a beginner to get out from it.

Does anyone of you know of any net resource, mailing list or Ezine that looks after this kind of topic?
