Digital Performer 3.0

Anyone got a clue as to when Digital Performer 3.0 will really be here? MOTU is pre-selling it on their website for people who just can't wait to give away money.

I just spoke to one of the Motu representative and he told me that the Beta version is out so we should expect the Alpha to be shipping in two weeks.

It's official, DP 3.0 is shipping by the end of this week.

And it's July 11th and I still haven't seen it. Has anyone gotten their upgrade yet?

Lots of people got it. Mine was shipped this week. Go to http://www.unicornation.com/ then click on List Archive ( left hand side ) then serach through the threads.

Well, I still haven't seen mine - I called MOTU yesterday and they said all of the registered user upgrades were sent out UPS ground last Friday and to allow 5-7 business days. So, here's to waiting.

So, now it is July 27 and still no DP 3.0. It seems that registered user upgrades are in line behind new purchases - way to go MOTU customer service - take care of your existing and loyal customer base last@!@!@!

I was told mine was supposed to ship this week - UPS ground of course so maybe sometime in the first week of August.

Something tells me this could have been handled more efficiently, MOTU. I am disappointed.

I got mine this week. Since I'm in Canada had to pay another $60 CND for duties, so the whole upgrade cost me around $290 CND.

Well, now it is August 6 and today MOTU says maybe by the end of this month - but they don't want to promise anything. All this because I bought 2.72 in advance because of the free upgrade to DP3 - you know MOTU, I wanted DP3, I could have waited, but didn't, and now I find myself in line behind the people that waited and bought DP3.

Oh well, by the time I get mine they will probably have the DP 3.1 updater online to correctly all the early bugs http://www.audioforums.com/forums/frown.gif((

Well, it is now 8/28 - still no DP 3.0 - MOTU are you listening - this is really undermining my impression of your customer service philosophy. I cannot believe the upgrades from 2.72 have not shipped - or that I have not received mine.

I expect a lot more from a company with your reputation.

where are you? I know this reply is months after, but the store I work at has had dp3 in since the beginning of august... just curious
