Currently, I own a single MOTU 2408. I am buying 2 more in a few weeks, I would like to know if anyone has had any problems with the added 2408s after experiencing that the first works like a charm. Anyone? Thanks.

I suggest you buy a Word Clock like Lucid GENx6 ($500), then you can sync all three of them to get the most out of your system.

All three will sync internally without the need for a Word Clock generator.
diggler... why two more 2408s? Do you really need 72 ADAT/Tascam I/Os? If you are looking for more analog ins/outs, consider a 24i, 1224, or 1296, all of which can be used alongside the 2408.

absolutely - i use a 2408 and 24i to get 32 analog inputs and 10 analog outputs. Had a bit of glitch when i first installed the 24i but sorted it by swapping the positions of the audiowires from the PCI-324. You certainly don't need a wordclock synchroniser unless you're syncing to picture from a VCR via smpte, in which case you'd need a midi timepiece (MTP AV) or digital timepiece to do that job.

Well, I need a minimum of 24 analog outs. the 24i is ins only, the 1224, although would have been nice, was out of my budget for only 8 outs (I would again have to buy 2), the same with the 1296 but with 12 outs. I just picked up two more units, one core (so I have a backup card) and an expander for $1100 for both (used of course) from a guy I actually bought my first one from (also used). So, Ill get them on Wednesday(ish), and of course I hope for the best. But for needing a min of 24 outs, I saw this as my best option. ASSuming that they are in the great shape that they dude claims they are, I was hoping to establish if the computer acts any differently when 3 are connected vs the 1. Thanks for the replys.
