Dual processing?

I was thinking about upgrading my beige G3 to a dual G4/400. Is dual processing supported by DP3? I was under the impression it was but I just spoke with a rep from Sweetwater Sound who said that dual processing is not suppoted by anytthing except OS X apps. Is this true?

Yes DP3 supports duals.

I don't think there are Dual 400s though. Only 450, 500, 533 and 800.

Thanks. The upgrade would be with an XLR8 upgrade card which comes in 400 and 500 dual processing models.

I have 3.0 and it is supported on OS 9.1. As I run more pluggins and watch the Performance monitor I see the 2nd processor bar go up. I have a G4 450 dual processor mac.
