Have read complaints about Unisyn.
Anybody have anything good/bad to say about it?Seems there is no profile for the JV 1010(what could a JV 1010 user do here?)And that you have to pay an additional $30 for the JP 8000 profile?
Sounds pretty sus to me.
Any advice appreciated
Cheers

Well, I thought that the JV 1010 came with Emagic Sound Driver. I'm not sure uf Unisyn is compatible with many Roland Synths. I use Unisyn with my Alesis QS6. It has a VERY steep learning curve. Even after about 6 months of using it, I'm not always sure of what I'm doing. I havn't used anything else, so I can't point you in another direction, but that's just my experience with it.
I use Unisyn everyday and love it. Just make sure most of your gear is supported or at least an important piece of gear is supported that you'd want to beable to tweak easily. I use it for my jv1080, dm5, pod and lexicon fx's and then save the settings under the clients name and song name. In Performer I can save and recall that particular device setup and next time I'm working on the project. This is particularily handy using the dm5 drumset settings. There's no guess work. Good luck.
