Mk II or 1224?

Can someone explain in simple terms who would benefit from one machine over the other.

MOTU 1224 has 10 output converters
MOTU 2408mk2 has 8
MOTU 1224 has 116db converters
MOTU 2408mk2 has 105dp
MOTU 2408mk2 has 24 adat/tdif outputs
MOTU 1224 has none
MOTU 1224 has AES and the 2408mk2 has spdf
There are many difference but the one that sold me on the 1224 is the converters,they are much better
