I have a PIII 600, SCSI, 256 RAM, MOTU 2408mkII, using Cool Edit Pro 1.2 and Cakewalk Pro Audio 9. What I want is to be able to use MIDI from Cakewalk and also to transfer data from a Roland VS880 via MIDI sync to my computer.
Any suggestions? MOTU help hasn't been helpful at all.
Happy holiDAZE,

Not much action in this forum, huh? Anyway, I don't know about using MIDI sync (although I think that is what MOTU's MIDI Timepiece is for), but I just use my AWE 64 soundcard for MIDI in Cakewalk and the 2408 for audio. . . no problems at all. My gear is synced up using the word clock from the 2408 as the master. Will that not work for your system?
