No AC-3 sound from Sound Blaster Audigi2

Hi everybody
Need help. Can't get 5.1 sound from Sound blaster audigi 5.1 via TOSH link. I connect it to Sony 555ES and only pro-logic coming out. How do i know?When if feed receiver Sony from stand alone DVD player, the blue neon light starting to glow and some pictogram shows me that signal is Dolby Digital, but from computer, us i sad before just pro-logic signal.

The only way to get 5.1 digital output from a SB, or any card for that matter, is from playing a DVD in the computer. And that will only work if you have setup your playback software to use the SPDIF output directly in a pass-through mode (depends on the software). All other sounds will be in PCM48K format and will only be multi channel with pro-logic.

That being said, there is only ONE consumer sound offering that will encode dolby 5.1 on the fly with any source - The digital output from the nVidia nForce (1 or 2) APU.

You will need to use the seperate 6 channel outputs (3x1/8" outputs) from your audigy to the multichannel input (if available) on the sony to get surround sound in games or general windows audio.
