I'm kinda new at computer software recoring programs. I started out with Cool Edit Pro and have used Cakewalk and Samplitude. I liked Samplitude, but it just didn't have the same "fun" kind of feel that Cool Edit has. But I didn't really get into Samplitude that much, so I'm not really qualified to make a final judgement. Looking though the forums, some people really liked CEP, but it seems a lot of other folks think differently, but I couldn't really figure out why. I certainly am not trying to bash other systems. I just want to know how you feel about CEP vs. your favorite and why CEP seems to get less respect. I'd like to use this information so I know what to look for when I'm checking out other software. Thanks!

I wouldn't worry too much about what other people like, as long as you enjoy using CEP and it does everything you need it to, screw what anybody else thinks.

Cool Edit Pro is a valid choice.
Great software for the wav editing thang.
And yes, it is fun to play with too.. not a bad think methinks.
