When people talk about problems with VIA etc... are they talking about internal sound hardware or just problems in general?
For example, if someone has those problematic VIA motherboards, if they use a Firewire interface or USB, would they still have problems with audio?
I'm just wondering because I just tried a Firestation interface on a very inexpensive E-machines machine and it has a VIA KM266 ???? board and it works fine.
Are the KM266 motherboards problematic? This machine seems to do everything fine.
