best vocal doubler?

I need a vocal doubler, can anyone offer up a good one, that's natural sounding? The last one we tried was spinaudio 3D delay, but it distorts the voice while it doubles...

If you're talking about a unit to take to live gigs and the studio, and not a software application, Eventide is in my opinion the best candidate. Their H3000 SE and various other models are incredible. Expensive but worth it. It will give you real sounding doubling as well as multi-effects. Layer up to 6 different pitches. I suggest auditioning one at a local(or regional) music store and working out a payment plan with them as you will want to take it home with you.
