ANYONE selling a DAW?!

Hey guys/girls,

I'm in the market for a new DAW. But, I dont have the will to build one of my own. I only have about $800. If anyone could help me out, I would appericate it!

(ps: I was offered a 1ghz mac, 256 ram with monitor for $600 from a friend I know)

What software do you have already or are planning to run on this machine? That may determine what platform and what specifics will work best for you. Also, was an audio input device specified?

I'm am going to be using the Presonus Firestation. I have not decided the software, but it will probley be nuendo, cubase, dp4, etc.

dp4 is Mac only

If your going to use the Firestation it runs way better on a Mac. Get a Mac if you like that card and run it with DP4.

$600? Not bad..

Or skip the Firestation and get the Motu 828MKII and think of going back to a PC build. Do you really need the ADAT lightpipe?

Why the Firestation? Lets get some details on what your trying to do and other gear in the studio bro.
