I'm new to any kind of audio-recording (especially via a PC)...know what I mean? At this point I simply want to record my voice(s) through a microphone onto my computer. I have done this already effectively using MusicMatch. I do not know exactly what the best way to set all the volume control settings is (on my PC)...(can anybody give me some guidance with that?)...
But really the more important question I have is:
What (hopefully affordable) software will allow me to create two or more recordings of my voice(s) and then to manipulate (edit) them and combine them in any blessed way I want winding up with a finished final track? I'm probably talking about cutting, pasting, and deleting portions among multiple tracks I guess. I mean like if I wanted to have a conversation with myself and have it come out seamless pretty much...have myself talking over myself at various points like people do when they speak or argue with each other. I mean I want to have a conversation with myself with various character voices...know what I mean?... want to have complete control over merging different tracks at any given point. Hard to explain! I was going to (try) using some voice-altering software on this project from blazeaudio(.com)
called "VoiceSFX" which gives you effects like "helium breath", "slow monster", etc. for a pretty good price. Anyway...any suggestions would be so appreciated...know what I mean?
