So I'm pretty much self-taught everything, including breathing.

Are there any really good books out there on mixing?

I can highly recommend this one :
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0918371171/qid=1026841871/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_1/102-4231906-0363302

Best regards
Erik

Oooohh, yeah and the price has come down.

I looked through this book at a music store, thought "this is good for a complete moron such as yourself, dys-", tossed in on the top of the pile of gear I was buying and then almost choked when the sales guy rang it in at $80.

The price sure has come down since then.

Thanks for the tip.

No book reference, here. Just a link. Maybe you've read the article already "how to mix a pop song from scratch". There is alot of info there packed in a little living space. http://www.beatmaka.com/v2/features/tutorials/article.php?article_id=3&SID=0e1d22b49587c8806b06ded5513dcc18

I found that link here: http://www.studiocovers.com/articles12.htm
