Hi,
Anybody out there using acid with a digital workstation? If yes...which one should be the slave/master?

Either one can be master as long as each knows "Who" the master is i.e. both pointed in one direction. This is provided your workstation has the capability i.e. servo faders, etc. It really depends on which you feel more comfortable as the master.
