I found a site called Mh2O.they have a two week trial period where one can download acid 2 and some wave samples.I`m sorry if this seems like a stupid question but what next?I did load a few samples. They were neat little 10 second clips that I could loop for eternity but could someone tell me how you can manipulate these little clips into actual compositions. thanks

What you ask is a very big question, but be sure you cant get anything out of a few loops.Something to get you started is the Frooty Loops program,in which you can learn
easily and simply to write notes, and there are a lot of drum sounds,so you could create your own loops. All you need there is the program's help and your imagination. When you
get familiar with it,it won't be enuogh to you,so the we'll talk 'bout it again!

It all depends on the type of loops that you have downloaded. Songs are made up typically of drums, bass, keys, strings guitar. In loop-based music all you have to do is play all of the loops sometimes and leave out some at other times. I agree with using fruity loops to learn how to do it well as you can make your own loops. I learned how to do it all on my own and you can too.
P.S. Buy keyboard magazine and electronic musician.

acid is pretty cheap (inexpensive)and a lotta fun to mess with.
I have a mp3 site with two 'tests' with acid loops dumpe\'d into cake walk.
I basically didn't play a lick. http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/533/bops2000.html
