Sound Forge & Cubase Midi Sync?

i know that this should be possible but have not been able to get it to work. im using SF6.0 and Cubase SX on Win XP.

Just curious....

Why would you want to MIDI sync SoundForge when it's an audio-only editor program???? Would be interested in knowing what you are trying to achieve.

if i am able to record midi time code along with the wave file then editing the wave file afterwards would be much easier. if, for example, i was doing a track at 128bpm then i would know that at every 15 second interval another 8 bars of music would begin.

also, using 2 SF's i could play the original wave and send a clock signal to a program such as reason, then record the resulting mix.
