ok, here's my problem...NONE of my Sonic Foundry programs seem to recognize that i have a CDR drive installed on my system (that includes Acid, SoundForge, and CD Architect)....BUT....my cd burning programs such as Easy CD Creator and CDRWin recognize it just fine. am i missing something there? it's not even showing up in the dropdown list when i go to burn a cd in ANY of those programs. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I think the problem is that Sound Forge programs like CD Architect stopped writing drivers for new burners a while back. If you have a new burner, it won't appear on their list. Unless your burner will work with one of the older generic driver options, you're out of luck. By the way...I have the same problem. The Sound Forge people want you to "upgrade" into one of their new programs, so they're not much help. I had to keep my old burner around just so I could still use CD Architect.

I upgraded to CD Architect 5.0 and solved all my problems. I think you can get a pretty good discount in it if you already own a previous copy.
