I've just recently started using ACID. If I have a wave file that is an original song that i recorded, is there any way to put the wave file into acid, and have acid understand it's tempo, chordchanges etc, so that when i add an acid loop to it, it syncs in and sounds right?

You have to save it as an Acid Proyect External audio formatt.

Sonic Foundry offers this capability in their audio editing programs, Sound Forge and Sound Forge XP. To get the chord changes you'd probably have to edit the wave files into distinct sections with the differing chords.
To set the key and tempo in Sound Forge, open the wave file, click on the "Special" menu item and then on Edit ACID properties. Other audio editing programs may support similar data additions to a wave file.

If you are using acid 3 or 4 then check out the beatmapper function. This is what you use to set tempo info, etc. for a long file. Try the Sonic Foundry web-site and see if they have a tutorial.
