I am wondering if Acid can be used in the following way: I have a song that I previously recorded and it is now a wave file. I have put it into acid. The question I have is this: Is it possible to get acid loops to "mesh" with my song. In other words, how do i get acid loops to play in sync with my song and in the same key?
Thanks you

If you are using ACID Music/Pro 3.0 or 4.0, you could use the BeatMapper feature to "acidize" your song. Once that file has been acidized properly, it will match tempo's with any loop file you place into the program.

If the tempo of your original varies (live recording) an alternative method is chopping it up in say 4-bar pieces and make acidized loops. (This may be easier to do in Soundforge). I did this with a drum-performance and got loops in the 69.x - 71.y BPM-range.
I then set the tempo in Acid to 70,lined up the loops and rendered to a new wave wich now plays at an even 70 BPM. Imported this into Sonar and did the midi tracks there.
