I've been using Protools for about 8 years and I've just been asked to figure out how to get audio from a Vegas session. I don't know anything about the program. Does anybody have any suggestions for a good way.
Thanks

As far as I know, ProTools does not read Vegas files (at least not yet).
Vegas will allow you to save the audio portion of the video as standard wav file, MP3, etc. But of course you need to do this in Vegas. Have the person open his Vegas file, click on "File" then drop down to "Render As". A window will pop up - you should be able to figure it out from there. Post if you have any more questions.

Thanks for the info.
I didn't even know that Vegas was a video application.
I'll let you know if I have any problems.
