Im trying to master with sound forge but im not to educated when it comes to the mastering field. Can somebody give me some tips on Mastering? and I also heard that there is a Mastering plug in for sound forge...and if there is whats the name ....thanks.

i'v read a good artical in : www.computermusic.co.uk (http://www.computermusic.co.uk) search in the
tutorial tab and you will find ther an
artical with all the basic's software
and plugin for mastering.

Baicly the mastering I do in soundforge is real easy... once I have a mixed down track I play with multi band compression a bit (not too heavy).

All I do with the multi band is set the compression on all freq's to 2.1.1 or something.. then play with the threshhold and gain, oh and whilst I have rather a long release.

Basicly.. play with it, and regularly listen to the original during the process, to know what it actually is that you're doing.

Then once done, normalise it and voila.

Oh and there was a tab that lets you select auto threshhold which I tried for the first time a week ago and rather liked the result of.
