I'm looking for a Virtual Sampling program
like Sample Cell that works with the Digi
001 and PT for Windows ME. I'm just assuming
that programs like Halion, or Reason would
want complete control of the sound drivers
rendering Pro Tools useless and unable to
load. What is a Windows user to do?

Thanks Adrian

Hi,

Reason doesn't take over the whole thing, but you can't run it in conjunction with Pro Tools. You can ReWire it to Logic, Cubase and Nuendo, but there has been numerous problems with Cubase+Rewire and nuendo+rewire. Logic works fine with reason, I run both at home.

Generally, Reason isn't very processor-heavy, of course depending on the size of your thing. As far as I know you can't run Halion with PT either. SoftSampleCell is the name of the game (coming soon for windows I think).

Though, having said that I must add that the actual "sampler" in reason is very limited, but you can work your way around it. It's quite a powerful program, though it looks like a computer game.
