Does the Digi001 run on a P4 1700MHZ PC?
The motherboard is an INTEL Pentium 4 D850GB.
I've had really good luck with a PIII 500,
24 Tracks, 2 Reverbs, and about 16 eq's, 16
Compressors and Automation. I can only assume that the 1700MHZ will give me at least
one more Reverb and allow eqs & compressors on each channel. Anyone able to confirm this?
P.S. Does anyone recommend a 2 Drive setup?
One Drive for Protools & One Drive for Audio?
Thanks,
Adrian

I'm pretty sure the Digi 001 will run on any single processor. So go for it. Yes, you want a software drive and a separate storage drive. I have just discovered the virtues of this setup recently and it is worth the time.

You may want to have a look at Digi's user forum (duc.digidesign.com). There have been discussions recently about P4 with pro tools, and whilst some people say they have got it working, the general consensus is that it's risky. Digi say that support is on the way, so feel free to try.
