Did any of the Logic updates increase the maximum project length time? Version 5?

I'm locked in here at eighty minutes or so. I think I might get stuck into buying Nuendo if It can't do better.

Do you need more than 80 minutes for one tune??

Record them separately, and use for example Steinbergs Get it on CD to put them together.

yeah, it definitely would be better to have longer than 80 minutes to work with, especially when scoring music for a film. we've run into that problem on several occasions and i'm hoping that they 'fix' it in version 5. we'll know soon....

Did not think about film work, sorry. In that case it must be a major problem.
Emagic keeps the news of the ver 5 kind of secret...are'nt they?. Or do you know where it's info to get, not on their site as I can see?

Thank you very much xanto, I hope to develop the site including some options to hear the music in better sound quality, not so good now!

I actually asked Emagic support and they told me this would NOT change in version 5. As you know, in the manual, they give the tempo change work around. I guess in dead spots I'll continue to lower the tempo and bring it back up when it needs to be up.

Thanks for the responses.

Serious film & tv composers use MOTU's DP3 which includes a track for a QuickTime movie or ProTools. Logic is for wannabes! I just did a film which had 6 reels and placed the mixes of every tune in one project (7 hours long).
