i've just started using logic and reason rewired together with logic as the master.i open logic first and then when i open reason it's says can't open midi, already in use.i want to know is there a way of being able to control reason using midi,ie to play a reason instrument using my keyboard, when it is rewired like this.cheers for any help...

I'm curious which version of logic you are using.

Nope - it doesn't work yet. You're out of luck until Logic 5 comes out...hopefully...

Using OMS with Logic and Reason will get midi into Reason, but there's extreme latency - way too much to ever consider using it...

i don't know much about rewire, since i only have Micro Logic. but i've run them together using hubis loopback device just fine. i can use logic as the master, or acid pro as the master, and all three work fine together.

the audio in logic is a bit stubborn, you have to put a 1 bar intro into the program to ensure proper sync, but this seems to work if you do so.

I should clarify something - you CAN use Logic and Reason together and Rewire works perfectly, BUT being able to play the Reason synths does NOT work because of the latency. I use it mainly for the Redrum, which you can program using the button sequencer on the Redrum or by penciling in your notes.

The message you get is normal - it happens every time I get them working together. It's because Reason wants to use OMS to control a port, but Logic already has control, so it gives you that message.
