I'm new to Logic and I'm having some audio problems. I'm running my keyboard into my Delta 66 sound card to record. The sound from my keyboard is fine until I go to record a track and then the sound of the keyboard doubles on itself like there is a slight delay on the sound. I disabled my midi cables so I know it has nothing to do with midi. The same set up works fine in my other sequencer. Is there something in one of the menu's that I need to adjust. Any info is appreciated. Thanks James

I think what you're hearing is the latency of the soundcard. whilst you're recording, you're hearing a mixture of the direct sound of the keyboard and the slightly delayed output of logic. How you get around this depends on your setup. Either mute the channel in Logic that you're recording to; or remove the mixer channel your keyboard is connected to from the main mix, so you're only monitoring through logic.
Hope this makes sense,
Sheriton

go to audio>hardware & drivers (i think) and untick the 'monitoring' box. works every time.
Tvband is absolutely correct

Thanks for the info. Unchecking the software monitoring in the audio driver section did the trick. Appreciate the help.
Cheers!

i get this when i've got the output from my Audiowerk 8 switched on while recording on the outboard mixer.
i use a Yamaha 01v mixer with outputs from the AW8 card going to the expansion slot on the mixer.
when recording in Logic i mute the mixer channels coming back from the PC, then when playing back i unmute them and it's fine and in time.
hope this helps.
