I just bought the Roland Studio Pack. I have Logic RPC, which was included with the Pack. I have finished installing the Logic RPC from the CD-ROM. When I open up Logic RPC from the desktop it starts, and then asks for a CD to authorize Logic RPC. When I try the Logic RPC CD-ROM it automatically begins the installation procedure when placed into the computer. Any advice?

I figured it out last night. Strange solution. This computer has two CD-ROM drives. One player, one burner. I loaded Logic with the player. When I tried to get that "authorization" that I needed from the CD through the player it didn't work. So I tried the burner and it worked fine. Cheers...

Well it's the autoplay function of the cd/windows.

Try this... open the cdrom tray... place the cd in it, but don't close it.

Open teh cd player in windows and you'll get an error message with a retry option. close the cd tray and click on retry repeatedly. This will usually cicumvent the autoplay.

Just make sure you manually open the cd before the autoplay initialises.

Or you could hold down the left shift key when closing the cd tray...

Or better yet, disable autoplay.
