Recording with effects...

Hi,
I read here about how to record audio track with some plug in on and hear the effect...is there anything new to it?I can not figure it out how on LAP 4,72 still...anyone knows??

I'm not near my DAW right now, but I seem to recall from reading the release notes that this functionality only works with specific sound cards.

Check through the release notes from v4.5 on, I'm quite certain the hardware and/or drivers that this works on is listed.
