View Full Version : Help...me please help me logic 4.0 freezes up after a few tracks using edit window

Dear logic kings and queens, i have a 1gig mhz athlon system \w 512megs of ddr 60gig 7200 40gig 7200 a7v133 motherboard and i use the motu 828, after a few tracks i get this (!) sign with a triangle around it, and after it reads (PC AV.) (STOPPED DEVICE!) DISK OR CPU TOO SLOW) is it my motherboard my configuation any info would be highly appreciated because i am going bananas.thank u.

Your HD transfer speed (5400 vs 7200) and front bus (speed of data) is choking; and/or recording/playback buffers may need to be increased. also check your PC configuration via "Info Hub" (top of this page) article on PC configuring for digital audio - worked very well for me..good luck.

Also see faq #5 too. I'm using a free utility from www.cnet.com (http://www.cnet.com) called analogueX maxmem to free up my RAM between recording takes & this works well too.
