I have G4/400 480mb, seperate IBM IDE deckstar audio drive, Digi 001, LAPlatinum.
I currently seem to stutter out with messages of 'disc too slow' etc at around 28 tracks audio, especially when they're chopped up tracks. Is there any magic buffer fixes for this or do I need to go the expensive SCSI route.

If SCSI is the answer what's the cheapest combi of card and drive that will let me use more than 28 tracks?

thanks in advance!!

hehehe... First of all, get rid of the Digi001 card. Sorry, just had to get that out of my system. If you have more than one drive you can span your tracks across them. Divide them up and then "Browse" to them when Logic says it can't find them. It can get a bit confusing, but if you set up a system it remain somewhat organized.

More ram if you can.... that's what I tend to say in that sort of situation.
