Stuttering System

For some reason my VIPs are beginning to stutter on playback. Right now I only have 9 tracks, and during playback my CPU is at 5% and disk at 7%, so that isn't the problem. I have played around with the buffers and with trackspeed, but to no avail. The weird part is that right before I recorded the 9th track, everything was working smoothly. I took an hour break and now its caput. Restarting the machine didn't seem to help either.

Any ideas on what is going on?

I was able to get the stuttering to go away by deleting Track number 9 (which is the last track I recorded before the problem appeared). I re-recorded that track and everything comes out smooth.

Except... when I try to record track number 10- after about 20 seconds it starts stuttering again in the middle of my take!

Whats the deal??? I'm almost to a point where I'm going to have to go back to N-Track... I love Samp, but this is rediculous!

Apart from the obvious ones, running out of memory, programmes running in the background (turn them off!), I don't know...
