I assume that once Samp gets known as an eMagic product a new generation of folks will discover what we've thought all along...I hope so anyway!

(Was that a pin drop?)

PS - Am I the only guy that uses less effects as I grow more comfortable with Samp? Last project (a kinda cool western swing ditty...) had only 3 tracks duplicated with the room simulators, compression, and only one reverb happening...21 tracks and one reverb...must be some kinda record (pun intended)

My tastes in efx change from year to year... right now, I'm re-discovering regular old echo. In general, I like far less effect than my clients, especially vocalists http://www.audioforums.com/forums/wink.gif

Studio liveliness and mic placement makes a lot of difference, of course.

Hey, aren't you supposed to use a lot of flangers, ring modulators, and reverse echos on those western swing ditties? http://www.audioforums.com/forums/smile.gif

That's what I thought...but somehow triplet guitar parts running through a stereo flanger with ducking delay didn't quite do the trick...

Maybe next time I'll run a 5 string banjo thru an old Tube Screamer...now THAT would kill a cat from 500 yards!
