Cubase loses Soundcard - Then Freezes!

Help~
My Cubase Freezes.

I have tried 2 days of troubleshooting and I am getting nowhere. After I start my cubase it tells me it lost connection with my soundcard. Then Freezes.

I know it isn't the soundcard because I tried it on 2 different soundcards with the same results.

I have toggled IRQ settings back to default (soundcard is now on IRQ16)

I haven't been working on music in the past few weeks or so, and was trying to pick up on it a few days ago and couldn't
