hello there,

i have a little problem (i hope) with conecting my keybord to play it with vst instrument .

i see a red signle that say's that midi is transmited
to the program but no sound is out ,
i'm conecting the same midi channel of the instrument to the one in the keyboard but no sound .

any sugestion ?

As I understand it, you want to play a virtual instrument with an external keyboard & you're using Cubase. What is the instrument? Are you getting a sound from the virtual keyboard (if there is one) using the mouse? You need to assign the active track to the v.instrument & channel in the info section.

thank grovphil but...

when i open an instument from the vst instrument pop up menu and i play the keyboard with my mouse i can hear the sound. but,when i press a key in my external keyboard i can't hear any sound .
and another thing : when i press a key in the external keyboard i see the red led in
the transport bar lit ,that mean that midi
data is send into the software and again,
i can't hear any sound.

From memory you also have to have the track "armed" for recording, before it works. Otherwise, it sounds like an input problem. For an experiment, cut-and-paste another midi track into the VST Instrument track and see if it plays. That'll narrow down some possibles.
