Wav/Aif in Cubase

Hey.

When I import an AIFF file into an audio ch. of Cubase 5.1 I lose sound (*all* sound) after 2 or 3 play/stop actions. When I check the 'VST performance' panel I see him shooting into the red when I click 'stop', than all sound is gone. The size/length of the sound doesn't matter and there is nothing in the other channels. Does anybody have an idea what happens?

I work on a Macintosh 733 Mhz G4.

hello,
hard name to remember but i hope i cane help .
go to audio set up and see in the left corner up
that you can change the buffer size and another parameter that you have near him ( i can't tell you exectly because i'm far away from my computer )
try and experiment this valus i had the same problem
in my pc but its sound like you'v got it also
