I'm having an issue when importing sound/wav files. Whenever I import the file it seems Cubase is changing the files pitch. For instance I will practice a few times playing over the backing track. When I am ready to record I will import the backing track file onto an audio track and when I go to record the guitar part it sounds like crap. It sounds like the backing track has been raised in pitch or something. My guitar is totally out of tune/pitch with the backing track. This is most frustrating. Any ideas on what is causing this or how to fix it?

I had the sam eproblem too... I had problem if i recorded sound/loop in 24bit 96Khz resolution and created new audio track in SX and then import that recorded loop on to this audio track it changed pitch or something... Didn't have any clue why... But than i realised that my song in cubase is 44kHZ 16 bit res and convertet those loops into this res. and worked fine...

I have no clu why cubnase SX cant play that resolution properly?? Is there any setting to tell him in what res. you want to create your sequence of tracks?

best regards
