I have this wierd problem when recording midi. Midi notes are actually recorded earlier, than they are actually played, so than I must move all of the notes, few ticks forward (usually 1/16 or 1/8 forward). I don't have this problems in Nuendo, only in SX. Can someone help me with this? Am I alone with this problem?
I am using SX 1.02. There was the same problem in 1.01 also.
Oh, and I should mention that this problem does not appear right away when I open SX, but after few minutes. At first I record midi notes normally, but after some time it goes wrong. And it doesn't metter if I record at the beginning of the track or not.

Thanks

Which midi input and interface are you using? You should have a choice of "All Inputs" rather than your specific instrument. Does the problem occur with this?

I tried doing that (selecting the All Inputs choice) but when I do that I canīt hear anything. I hav a M-audio Ocygen Controller

What can I do?

They're sounding later than they're played? Sounds like a latency issue to me. Open up Cubase's audio settings and decrease your audio buffer size or switch to ASIO if possible, with a lower buffer size. The tradeoff is that the lower you go on latency the less time there is for your CPU to process audio, leading to pops, clicks, and glitches.

Itīs not a latency issue
they sound the same time they are player, but that is not the problem

The problem is when I am recording midi, they sound in the right time, but they are recorded a bit earlier

I know exactly what your talking about man i have the same problem too! It drives me nuts, no matter how perfectly play in time i find that the actual midi data records in about 1/32 step too early! Can anyone help here??

It is doing this because there is a device in Cubase that compensates for latency. It is compensating when you do not need compensation. Check the preferences for this option. I will check it next time I use CUbase and tell you.
